Regular Giving

There are a number of simple, easy ways to give to the Friends of Morley:

Regular Giving

As government funding for education continues to fall, we do rely on the generosity of parents for contributions to the Morley School, whether through one-off donations or monthly subscriptions. The money we receive through these contributions has an enormous impact on our ability to support our children’s education through the purchase of essential new equipment and facilities. Whatever the size of your contribution, it does make a real difference. If you feel able to make a single or regular contribution, please fill in the Gift Form. Thank you for your support.

A regular gift, from as many families as are able, would have a bigger impact on fundraising than any other activity. Some families may feel able to give more than others, some may not be able to give at all. If you do feel able to make a single or regular gift, please fill in the Gift Form. Thank you for your support – gifts of all sizes make a very real difference to our children’s education!

Matched Funding

The Friends of Morley is a registered charity, known as Morley Memorial Primary School Association, registered charity number 1043583.

If you are a UK tax-payer, you can increase the value of your gift to the Friends of Morley by completing a gift aid declaration. This allows the Friends to reclaim the basic rate tax that you have paid on the income from which you are making your gift and increases the value of your gift by £2.50 for every £10 that you give. If you are a higher rate tax-payer, you can reclaim the difference between the basic rate of tax and your higher rate by including the gifts on your annual tax return; this reduces the cost of the gift to you by at least £2.50 for every £10 that you give.

Easy Fundraising

Easyfundraising is a great way to raise money, for nothing. If you shop online via Easyfundraising with Amazon, Argos, M&S, eBay (and loads more), whenever you buy something online, the retailer makes a donation to the school. There are 2,700 retailers on board! Friends of Morley would be really grateful if you would consider signing up. There are no catches and it’s free. You can sign up to raise for Morley Memorial Primary School Association – Cambridge here. http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/morleymemorialprimary/

Recycling

  • Periodically you will be told of a Bags2School collection – please fill the Bags2School bag that comes home with your child (and any other plastic bags you have to hand if you have more to recycle!) with reusable clothes, shoes etc (the full list is on the bags) and bring to school on the collection day. The Friends of Morley receive a payment per ton of bags collected and it is a great way to ensure that your old but serviceable clothes and shoes are effectively reused, repurposed or recycled.

Christmas cards

Order some wonderful Christmas, New Year, Hannukah, Eid or year-round cards featuring your child’s own special artwork! Order forms and information about the type of artwork that can be used will be coming around in book bags before half-term.
